Installation Guide (Windows 64-bit)
Xtract needs a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to run. Billions of Products are running on Java, even the mobile phone OS Android is run by Java.
There is a good chance that you all ready have a JRE installed on your system.
Click the Start button and type cmd in the run field. This will cause a command-prompt to appear. Now enter java -version and press enter. If this is successful you will se one or more Java Runtime installations on your system. Xtract need a version greater then 11.
If the response is something like "java is not recognized as an internal or external command.." you will need to install a JRE. There are a lot of different JRE's to chose from but we recommend Open JDK.
Go to https://www.openlogic.com/openjdk-downloads Select version 17. Select 17.0.14+7 | Windows | x86 64-bit | JRE (NOT JDK!) Download and follow instructions. Now you can dubble-click on XtractInstaller.jar or install.bat in your Xtract installer package. info@c8soft.se
